Lasik Center
Lasik is the evolution of the vision treatment in. It is easy, safe, fast (10-15 minutes), and accurate. The result of this treatment makes contact lens become no longer necessary.
Lasik Process ( Lasik in-Situ Keratomileusis )
The combination of the two major equipments in the process, which are:
- (Microkeratome)
- (Excimer Laser)
After dividing the cornea, Excimer will be used to adjust and make a suitable curve to match the length of the eyeball. It makes the integrated light fall correctly on to the retina and creates perfect vision.
Types of vision abnormality (improper vision)
Normal vision ( proper vision )
Proper curve of the cornea and proper size of the eyeball makes proper light integration. Proper light integration falls correctly onto the retina which enables the eyes to see clear in both short and long vision.
Nearsightedness or Myopia
It is caused by the improper curve of the cornea or the eyeball is too long which makes too much light integrate compared to the size of the eyeball. It makes the light integration fall in front of the retina. This creates a clear vision only in a very short sight. The long vision will be unclear.
Farsightedness or Hyperopia
It is caused by a too flat cornea or too short eyeball which makes less light integration comparing to the length of the eyeball.? The integration of the light will fall behind the retina and creates unclear vision to both short and long sight.
Astigmatism
Unequal curve of the lines of the cornea makes unequal light integration of each line which result in multiple and unclear pictures in both short and long vision.
Presbyopia
It is the result of the deterioration of muscle around the eyes with age. It decreases the ability to adjust the lens of the retina to focus in the short sight. It is normally found in people over 40 years old and can not be cured by the lasik at the moment but soon will be developed. The way to solve this problem is to use the vision glasses.
Lasik Process
Lasik Treatment Process is as followed :
You are required to receive vision test from the ophthalmologist at least 1 time.

1. Dividing the retina layer by using the retina layer dividing machine (Microkeratome) which takes only 3-8 seconds. |

2. Scrub the retina surface by using Excimer Laser. The laser process is various and depends on the different of the vision problem which normally takes less than 1 minute. |

3. After that, the doctor will use the see through eye cover to cover the eyes to prevent the eye interrupting. A few people will have some soreness after but will soon recover after resting or sleeping for 3-4 hours. The doctor will recheck the eyes on the following day. You can continue your normal lifestyle but wear sunglasses for approximately 1 week to protect your eyes from contacting the sun and the wind. |
